The fields of interest assignment is used as a way to navigate the students towards interests they have and to help them pick topics that interest them. This is exactly what it did for me. I completely figured out that I wanted to be a teacher and what was important for me as an aspiring teacher. This assignment was very useful for helping me to choose possible project topics. It helped me narrow down my exact fields of interest.
