The Psychedelic period was in the 60s and changed the style of design at the time. Bright colours and interesting shapes made up the style. Milton Glaser was one of the most well known designers at the time, and was known for his Bob Dylan poster and is the father of the “I Love New York” logo. He created PushPin Studios which was a very successful design agency

Glaser was fascinated by Picasso and Morandi’s work which influenced his pieces. He shaped the minds of many at the time and even now with his unique eye for design and colour. He teaches us to go outside of the norm and break the rules of design as he did, you never know what you’ll create or how successful you’d become following your dreams. When he was young, he had rheumatic fever, and he said the only thing that kept him alive was his mother bringing him modelling clay. Design and the process of creating things is fascinating and can change the way one looks at the world.
