History is one of my favorite hobbies or topics to study in my free time. I spend hours every week listening to podcasts and reading books dedicated to history. In this writing assignment, I compared and contrasted two legendary mythical stories titled “The Flood” from The Epic of Gilgamesh and “The Story of The Flood”. The stories tell a tale that has been told in nearly every ancient society, of a mass flood that wipes out everyone but two people. In this piece, I showcase my writing skills, research skills, and ability to analyze data then portray it in both a subjective and objective way.
One Minute Elevator Pitch – BADM 268
The first assignment for BADM 268 was the one minute video pitch. In it, I gave a quick run down of my original business plan, as well as why it showed potential for investors. I ended up changing course during the semester, and switched my company to a similar but different field. My original idea, was to create a health and wellness app, where people could track intake, sleep, heart rate, activity and more, but I changed that to a travel app. None the less, I showed an ability to take complex ideas and boil them down in a concise way.
Business Model Canvas – BADM 268
Another project that I completed for BADM 268 was my Business Model Canvas. It shows a simple breakdown of the Travel Companion’s operations, features, target market, and more. It can give people a very brief overview of the company.
Business Plan – BADM 268
For BADM 268 – Entrepreneurship/Small Business Management, I created a 10 page business plan showing my goals, strategy, marketing techniques, and financial planning skills based on a mobile travel app. The plan gave a brief insight as to how I would create the company, how it would be structured and financed, and why it was needed and separated itself from the competition.
The app, Travel Companion, was aimed to help people browse deals, book amenities, check out reviews, give suggestions, as well as connect with others who were traveling within the same area.
