Impressionism & Post Impressionism
Camille Pissarro was a Danish-French painter who was part of the Impressionist and Neo-Impressionist movement. I chose to talk about Pissarro because I was able to indulge in some research on Paul Gaugin in my 141 Survey 6 research and gathered that he was a very influential figure in Gaugin’s life—both personally and artistically. Personally I find that Pissarro is quite a versatile painter. I state this because of the different kinds of landscapes and environments he was able to paint. This makes each painting vastly different while still adhering to his signature brush handling.

Abi,
Your posts on Homer and Pissarro are pretty good and although they are short on content they have personal appreciation and insight which I look for. Also two good choices but the images are pretty small… would like to see a bit bigger to appreciate the detail. That’s a small point though. Good work keeping up with these.
