In this post I will be talking about my kids book “Where Did All The Food Go?” and about the wonderful team at Production Road.

This week I got to finish writing my kids book, and start ideating with thumbnails for the visuals. The writing of the book was interesting, I’ve never written for kids before and it was quite fun! I had the amazing Patrick Cotter and the wonderful Logan David help me edit. Here I will post my script so whoever is reading can read at their leisure.

Illustration and tone moodboards

Thumbnailing for this project has been loads of fun. I chose a kids book for my personal project to get more illustrations in my practicum experience, and I have been really enjoying myself. Especially since I’m marking something off my bucket list! I’ve always wanted to write and illustrate my own kid’s book.

Here are the thumbnails I have been working on and one refined layout thumbnail.

Lastly, I wanted to share some fun screenshots from our weekly meetings. Not only I have made important work connections, but I have also made true friends. I have so much fun with everyone at production road and I hope to meet them all in person when the pandemic allows!
