Barbarian Invasions of Western Europe (0-1450) Infographic

I was tasked to create an infographic poster for something set in 0-1450 A.D. I have opted to use the barbarian invasions all over Western Europe that were happening at the time as my subject.

(Specifically the Goths, Vandals, Huns, Franks, Anglo-Saxons, and Vikings)

As measurable statistics for the time were basically non-existent, I settled on doing a 2 for 1 infographic consisting of a timeline, of when the invasions happened, and a representative map, showing the areas of influence these groups had.

Problems I ran into were:

• Layout of the information on the timeline
• Visual Cohesion between both sides

Things I felt I did well:

• The representative map
• Roman Doric Columns used to separate each part
• Inclusion of my name coming off the word “Vandal”

I would grade this work an 8/10 as some forethought was missing regarding timeline layout and the execution could have been stronger.
