Haluka is an eighteen-year-old student at Capilano University, born and raised in the city of Vancouver, British Columbia. She is a first- student, studying graphic design and illustration in the IDEA School of Design. Haluka first became interested in graphic design when she was fourteen, after she self-taught herself how to use Adobe Illustrator; a computer application well used by designers. At the end of her grade eleven years in high school, she decided she was interested in pursuing graphic designing as a career, which leads her to the IDEA School of Design at Capilano University. Some of Haluka’s other hobbies include traveling, eating, and photography. She loves to travel, especially to Japan, where her parents have lived before coming to Canada. Haluka recently traveled to Japan in the past summer, two weeks with her high school friends and one week on her own. She enjoyed her trip as she had many opportunities to photograph the beautiful temples and exciting city streets of Japan. Haluka also loved every meal she had in Japan and left every restaurant with a full stomach.
