Asynronous Assignment 1

I am currently in the bachelor’s degree program for communication design here at Capilano University and I would describe myself as a very direct writer. Over my years of interest in this career path, I have focused more on communicating my ideas visually and generally use text to take notes for class or myself. Because of this, I have realized my writing can be choppy and difficult to understand. Now that I am a year into my program, I have concluded that I must be able to competently communicate my ideas through writing as visuals cannot be used for everything. I am working to fix that by reviewing and revising my piece multiple times and asking those around me for constructive criticisms. I am hoping that this course will help strengthen my confidence in writing, as well as extend my vocabulary to allow me to communicate my ideas and imagery more effectively.
