“Into the Futura” Typography Poster.

For my historical type identification poster I knew I wanted to design my poster with lots of colour so I came up with a futuristic theme and called my poster “Into the Futura.” The wavy colourful patterns represent wires and they connect to the computer (which was my posters centrepiece design). The computer features the font examples of each typeface and helps demonstrate to the viewer about the different characteristics each typeface has.

This poster took me a very long time to execute and plan out. I roughly spend around 13 hours on this poster because I had to do the wavy pattern which took longer than expected, do research, and sketch out each font and then colour it in. The poster turned out exactly how I pictured it and I’m very happy with the final result. The only thing that I would fix in the future is giving more space for writing the descriptions (as the size of the descriptions for this poster is small in some areas).

I give myself a 13.5/15 on this assignment!
