My project topic was tools and technology during the Baroque period. I chose to do my infographic poster on the Gutenberg printing press. There’s a brief description on the top page of the poster and an illustration to show the technology. On the bottom of the poster there is an infographic showing the increase of manuscript production in Germany from the 13th century (a century before the Gutenberg printing press), to the 15th Century, ( a century after the printing press). I illustrated the graph in unraveling scrolls, the length of the scroll getting longer with the increase of manuscript production. Hopefully the impact the Gutenberg printing press had on manuscript production is clearly illustrated through the graph. I would grade myself a B on this assignment, as I think the information I’m trying to depict is clearly displayed, but I do wish I did something with the background, and I think I could have composed the subject matter better.
