Artifact Rational

Fashion is something I adore. Especially anything designed, not because of the name, but because of the time and quality put into it. I believe that if I attempt to connect my projects to something I enjoy, I will love the journey and succeed! This project took me roughly 11 hours to complete. I tried to make this bag two times, but failed, the third time was the charm. I’d give myself a 9 out of 10. I think I did well, and I’m pleased with the outcome; I’ve always wanted a Louis Vuitton bag, and now I have one!

I used cardboard, a lot of tape, white charcoal, and acrylic paint to make this bag. I covered the surface with cut-out Louis Vuitton logo monogram pieces. I chose the old copy of this bag and attempted to make it appear as authentic as possible. On the Museum card, I included information on the Alma bag’s history and its connection to Coco Chanel. Because I’ve had a lot of poor experiences with 3D items, I was afraid the bag would look tacky and not turn out the way I wanted it to. I’m quite pleased with the outcome, and I want to display it in my room as a decoration.
