Brief and Moodboards

Moodboards

Creating the moodboards was a very useful, reflective experience. There are things that you know about yourself but its so nebulous in your mind. To actually make a collection makes it a lot more tangible. It’s also very aspirational you see not necessarily where you are but where you want to position yourself to be. And these things change, first year this would have looked different than it looks now and in a few years, it will be different again so I think it is an experiment to go back to.

I learned a lot making this moodboard especially. I’m usually drawn to bright, eclectic spaces but I’ve realized that as fun as those spaces are I get really distracted. If I really want to focus I need a clear white space. I need to work by a window and have a lot of light. I like to have plants and ideally I’d love to work on a beach.

I took a lot of time with the moodboards, collecting a lot images and being decisive about what to leave out. I’m going to give myself 8/10

Brief

The brief helped me recognize what I’m looking for and where I want to go as a brand and dictate those needs. I did struggle with it and I handed in a better version after I’ll give myself a 7/10.
