Well known American graphic designer illustrator and artist. Dayton has covered a wide range of work, however he was most known for his psychedelic art posters in the 1960s. The creative work he has covered ranges from editorial illustrations to corporate branding and logos, to large scale murals, to also authoring and illustrating books. Dayton also was the founder to Artifact Ink Studios in 2001 and is currently working in the Sierra Foothills.

From his education in Illustration and advertising in CalArts he worked at a few agencies however he soon began a freelance career where he produced his art on tshirts. This made him the pioneer to using T-shirts as an art medium. This technique was so innovative at the time that his T-shirts were featured in the Los Angeles Times magazine.
