Stanley Mouse was born on October 10, 1990, in the state of California. He was born ‘Stanley George Miller,’ but is now more commonly known as Stanley Mouse. His father was an animator for Disney and worked on movies such as Snow White.

He grew up in Detroit. Stanley is described as having been a quiet kid, who spent his time in class drawing.  By age thirteen, he’d gained fame amongst his peers for his sketches of monster-driven muscle cars. His career as an artist took off after he stared doing detailed paint jobs on vehicles. After this, he began painting on t-shirts with an airbrush, all before even starting tenth grade.

In the sixties, Stanley met Alton Kelley, with whom he collaborated for over fifteen years. Together, they created their most famous poster, the Grateful Dead skull and roses.

Stanley has had his posters and many museums around the world, some of these include The San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, The New York Art Museum, The Tokyo Museum of Modern Art, The Victoria and Albert Museum in London, and The Louvre in Paris.
