Enactus – UBELONG proposal

UBelong is committed to fostering belonging and promoting mental health awareness. Through events, social campaigns, and future programs like workshops and community gatherings, we aim to support individuals, especially entrepreneurs, in navigating life’s challenges. Together, we’re building a more connected and caring community.

Here is a presentation for U-Belong, this slide deck was presented for a group at Capilano University.

BADM 305 – BCSPCA

This project gave me the opportunity to explore real-world strategies that support the BC SPCA’s mission to prevent animal suffering and promote long-term welfare. Our team focused on identifying the core challenges contributing to animal neglect—such as lack of knowledge and economic hardship—and looked at how awareness and education can drive meaningful change.

Through research, we pinpointed demographics most at risk of neglecting animals and used that insight to design a targeted social media campaign. Our goal was to educate the public on issues like impulsive pet purchases and limited access to animal care. By empowering people with information and encouraging community collaboration, our campaign aligned with the BC SPCA’s vision of a future where animals and people thrive together. It was a powerful reminder of how communication and compassion can create real impact.

Below you can see the presentation slides we created based off of our report.

BADM 466 – LVSS change plan

As part of my Spring 2025 BADM 466 Change Management class, my team and I had the opportunity to work with the Lynn Valley Services Society to help raise awareness about the Mollie Nye Heritage House in North Vancouver. Many in the community mistakenly believe the heritage house is part of the nearby Sunrise Retirement Community, but it’s actually a vibrant community space jointly operated by the Lynn Valley Services Society and the Lynn Valley Seniors Association.

Through our research and community engagement, we explored ways the Mollie Nye House could strengthen its identity, generate sustainable income, and better integrate into the fabric of Lynn Valley. Our team presented practical recommendations to help the organization overcome its challenges and connect more meaningfully with the people it serves. It was a rewarding experience to apply what we’ve learned in class to a real-world community initiative.

Below is the presentation slides my team presented to the LVSS leadership team.

BFIN 241 – TELUS Financial Analysis

In BFIN 241, I worked on a two-part financial analysis project focused on TELUS, one of Canada’s major telecommunications companies. In the first phase, I recreated TELUS’s income statement, balance sheet, and statement of cash flows using their annual investor report. I also calculated key financial ratios to understand the company’s performance.
The second phase involved writing a comprehensive 50-page APA-formatted report. I explored TELUS’s operations, conducted a SWOT analysis, and performed both financial statements and stock analyses. Using the ratios and data from the first part, I evaluated the company’s financial health and provided strategic recommendations tailored to TELUS’s owners, lenders, and managers. This project helped me deepen my understanding of corporate finance and real-world financial reporting.

BADM 329 – Fresca Clean Prototype

As part of an HR consulting project, our team partnered with Fresca Clean, a fast-growing cleaning service provider based in North Vancouver, to evaluate and enhance their performance management practices. The company faced key challenges, including an outdated compensation model, a lack of performance-based recognition, and minimal feedback or career development systems.

Through in-depth analysis and research, we proposed a shift toward a performance-based pay structure, the implementation of clear employee recognition programs, and improved tools for task tracking and communication. Our recommendations also included a prototype performance agreement and tracker to help managers guide employee growth more effectively.

By aligning employee incentives with company goals, these strategies aim to foster a motivated, high-performing team and support Fresca Clean’s goal of becoming a top regional employer.
