Although Alphonse Maria Mucha ((24 July 1860 – 14 July 1939) is a very popular artists, well known for his decorative style and images of beautiful women. He was born as a completely artistic fellow, being talented in both singing and illustration although the latter was his passion. Mucha even worked for a viennese theatrical design company, which I assume made a huge influence in his illustration style. I have always had trouble with colour theory before being taught formally in this program so Mucha’s art is something I admire because it includes both the bold neat linear that I adore but also has a painterly tones. He manages to make the colours lively without being overly saturated and bright but it is also easy on the eyes without being dull.
