This week I really started to feel like I was starting to finally find my place and get used to the working environment and flow! I was assigned a couple more projects and was able to do my first packaging project (so exciting)! LOT’S of sprints as Rethink is super busy at the moment, but all the work is super rewarding and fun.
So far I’m working on work for WestJet, A&W, YWCA, and a non-profit org. The YWCA work is the one I’m having the most fun with currently and the most excited about!
This week was jam packed with not only work but also play! On Wednesday, we had an office taco lunch from Tacofina! Aleks and I helped set-up and a ton of people came into the office – the most I’ve seen yet working there. There were so many leftovers we had some to take home and also to eat the next day.
Another fun thing is that I brought in my shark stuffy named Lammy! There’s already one shark at the office and I felt like it looked lonely so I wanted to bring another one so it had a friend. Lammy was an immediate office hit, with someone even putting her in the fridge and sending a pic to the office group chat haha.
There were also so many dogs that came in this week! Plus I had a bunch of amazing coffee chats with coworkers and learned so much.
Friday was super fun too because at lunch one of my coworkers and I had a watch-party for a new K-pop music video that just dropped! It was super nice to discover that we had shared interests and made me feel more integrated into the office culture. Overall, Friday was the best day I’ve had at Rethink so far, as I got to do a lot of fun design work and also socialized a bunch with my coworkers which made me really happy.
