Before starting this course, I thought it would be merely about improving English and writing skills: grammar, vocabulary, structure, punctuation, and that kind of things. Because of this, I was surprised when I realized that this was not the case. Instead, we read fascinating and challenging texts, which did not relate to the English language itself, but sometimes more about almost sociological or philosophical topics. After this, I understood that in order to become a better writer, it is not only enough to write; it is also crucial to read. The readings were complex and sometimes even tedious, but I think I will only improve my English and become a better writer by challenging myself this way. Because of this, I enjoyed the course, and It not only helped my writing skills, but It also helped me question myself on many issues, it made me think a lot, and it challenged me mentally.
