Hey!

Hi, my name is Eusup Chang but you can call me Joseph instead. I’m currently a student in the IDEA Program at Capilano University and I’m hoping to become a Graphic Designer. I was born on March 24, 1999 in Abbotsford, British Columbia, Canada and was born to Korean parents. I spent most of my early life in Canada but eventually moved to Korea during 3rd grade where I lived there for most of late elementary to early high school years. I eventually moved back to Canada and graduated from Abbotsford Senior Secondary School. I’ve always enjoyed doing drawing ever since I was young and when I first learned how to use Photoshop, I’ve decided that I want to become a graphic designer where I could do different designs. I was first learned about Cap while I was searching for a university to go to after I graduated and I was interested to learn more about it. So I applied, got an interview and got accepted. I chose Cap because the work environment seemed very productive and I heard a lot of good things about the program that made me want to come here. So far, it’s going good so far. Some of my hobbies include playing video games, watching YouTube videos, watching anime, and learning about history and politics. I like to draw mostly anime stuff but I like to draw other things like still life and would like to experiment with other mediums or styles. My main inspiration comes from a YouTube artist called Sophie-chan. I watched her videos when I was young and since then, I would always try to practice, doodle, experiment, and learn drawing which certainly helped. My skills have definitely improved over time which is impressive as I was self-taught but I still have a long way to go and am always open to learn more.
