It’s been interesting taking this time to reflect on myself. I’ve noticed how much I’ve changed since I was just a little baby in year one of IDEA. I’ve grown a lot more tenacious and have grown a thicker skin. But I think I’ve remained what I’ve always been since I was a child: joyful.

Coincidentally, “Joy” is also my middle name and somehow I’ve always managed to live up to this (so I’m told). Whether that’s through my positive attitude or my audible giggle, I feel like joy has permeated itself into who I am as a person, and now, as a designer. I have a heart for discovering the delightful moments in design, which I’m learning is a great skill on it’s own. Although I am constantly learning, it’s something I desire to become an expert at.

I’m looking forward to seeing where this project takes me. It’s so far taken me towards illustrating myself as an orange being squeezed for creative juice… hopefully we evolve from here.
