I chose to give my yearbook spread a monopoly theme since its one of my favourite board games and I wanted to try using playing cards and money to collage. My idea was to take aspects from the game board and use them for my project. Colour and symmetry were the main aspects I wanted to use. The monopoly money really helped with the overall structure it provided a solid background for other things to overlap and balance with. The black background also helped because it contrasted all the colours. I tried to have a lot of overlapping repeating patterns and shapes so the piece was unified.
I’d give it a 6.5 or 7/10 because it is pretty simple and plain overall and I feel like the text box cards could have used more detail.
