The American designer, Wes Wilson who was known for inventing and popularizing the Psychedelic font that looks like the letters are melting or moving. Wes Wilson was best known for designing posters for Bill Graham in San Francisco. Wes Wilson was considered to be one of “The Big Five” San Francisco poster artists, along with Alton Kelley, Victor Moscoso, Rick Griffin, and Stanley Mouse.

Wes Wilson(Robert Wesley Wilson)was born in Sacramento, California, on July 15, 1937. His mother raised him in rural northern California. He participated in the army after graduating from high school. After moving to San Francisco, he worked in a small printing house to pay for his education in college. He studied philosophy and religion at San Francisco State college and later dropped out to support his family.
