My final logo uses my initials abstracted to a zigzag. Paired with illustrations it can create a whole bunch of visual metaphors. I chose this as my final logo because it shows off my personality and strengths. The illustrations show my playful side, love for ideation and visual metaphors, and the AM mark on its own shows my graphic design side and breaking things down into abstract graphic devices. It is a balance of my thoughtful, methodical side, and excited, playful side.

The logo is versatile and can either be used with or without the illustrations. The illustrations can also be used in an animation on my website. For the business cards the AM would be printed, and I would draw a different doodle on each card by hand with a sharpie.

I’m pretty satisfied with how the logo turned out. I would give myself a 9.5/10 on the whole process. I think I ended up with a good understanding of who I am and some of my strengths and I came up with a lot of diverse ideas in the brainstorming phase which I’m proud of. I do think the personal ad I handed in could be greatly improved, (hence the minus 0.5). In the end I think I ended up with an interesting solution that is versatile enough that it can grow with me through time and showcases the things I hoped it would.
